Early Access Era

Why Early Access?

“Howdy, I’m Posey — the one-man panic attack behind S7 Cyberpunk: A Cyberpunk Odyssey.

I started this project back in 2022 with two besties-for-resties, zero budget, and one giant dream: to make the ultimate silly sci-fi-fantasy love letter to my wife. What began as a small indie experiment became a full-blown creative universe — comics, card games, tabletop systems, and the video game tying it all together.

Early Access isn’t a side phase — it’s the story itself. The world you’re playing through is the early access era of Planet 7: the first settlers building, fighting, failing, and laughing their way through humanity’s second chance.

Each physical preorder — the “boarding pass” — connects directly into the digital universe. That single Early Access key is your passport to the ongoing development journey — to play, test, and help shape the final trilogy.

And here’s the twist:
No one — not even my wife — will see the final game until day one. When Early Access ends, this build disappears forever, and everyone experiences the final version together — just like the old days of standing in line at midnight, wrapped in a blanket, waiting for that gold copy of Zelda to drop.”

Approximately how long will this game
be in Early Access?

“However long it takes.

This is an indie passion project built by one guy (me) and a few amazing friends whenever we can scrape together the time and caffeine.

We’re self-funding through preorder sales, community support, and a small SEC-regulated raise to cover production and art. Every new early access release — from the graphic novel to the tabletop RPG, board games, and digital updates — pushes us closer to the final launch.

So, the honest answer?
It’ll take as long as it takes.
If you want to help make it faster, grab a preorder bundle, tell your friends, or hop into the Discord and help us build the dream together.”

How is the full version planned to differ
from the Early Access version?

“Early Access is the playable history — the settlers’ first years on Planet 7. The final release is the full story.

While Early Access focuses on short-form episodes, smaller maps, and mechanics testing through story-driven arcs, the complete version of Seneca 7: A Cyberpunk Odyssey will combine everything into one massive, cohesive 3rd-person RPG experience — single-player, co-op, and PvP — with all systems polished and unified.

Those who join Early Access aren’t just testers; they’re founders.
Their actions, data, and discoveries will echo into the final trilogy through exclusive items, titles, and hidden lore elements that only early adopters can unlock.”

What is the current state of
the Early Access version?

“We’re in the Early Access Prologue Era, featuring the first three story arcs (twelve episodes each) covering the settlers’ first year — from the simulation training programs to the first Congobot touchdown and the earliest chaos of life on Planet 7.

The current build allows players to explore both simulation and surface environments, test early systems like exploration, combat, crafting, and resource gathering, and experience fully voiced narrative missions that evolve with each update.

There’s also a publicly available demo you can download right now — a small sampler of what the exclusive Early Access Era looks like.
Heads up: the demo takes a minute to boot on first launch (cold start loading those assets, baby!), but once it’s up, you’ll get a real taste of the weirdness we’re building.

Alongside the video game, companion projects like the Graphic Novel Zero Edition, Tabletop RPG, and S7 Cyberpunk: Tactics are being released — each expanding the universe and letting you experience Planet 7 in your favorite format.”

Will the game be priced differently during
and after Early Access?

“Yes — the price will increase at different points along the Early Access Era Prologue as we approach final release.

During the Early Access Era, digital access will open after all seven physical preorder events are completed. When that digital window opens, the Early Access version will be priced around $30 USD, with the full release expected to launch about 3–4 months later at roughly double that price.

Think of it as the “last call” before the ship leaves orbit. Once the physical preorder waves close, that’s your sign the countdown to launch has begun.

Early adopters keep all their unlocked content permanently — including exclusive achievements, cosmetics, and early access collectibles earned during the Early Access Era.”

How are you planning on involvingthe Community in your development process?

“Everything I’m doing is built for the community — not as a marketing line, but as a movement.

This whole Early Access Era is an homage to where gaming culture came from — when players cared about dev diaries, cheat codes, box art, and midnight launches. Somewhere along the way, gaming forgot its fans, and I’m here to remind it.

This project isn’t just a love letter to my wife — it’s a love letter to the fans who built this industry.
The ones who stood in the cold for a launch.
The ones who sacrificed sleep and social life for “just one more round.”
The ones who know the sound designer’s name because their work made your heart race.

That’s who I’m building this for. So yeah — community involvement isn’t just part of S7 Cyberpunk, it’s its DNA.

Hop into the Discord, throw ideas, share bugs, scream about lore — you’re part of this world as much as I am.”
